Doing custom painting for animal lovers is natural fit for my type of work. My paintings are either oil on canvas or soft pastel. You can see examples of my work on this site. Sizes and Pricing
These prices are for paintings of ONE subject. For additional subjects, depending on the complexity of the design, there may be additional charges, especially with regard to the smallest size. It is difficult to include multiple subjects in such a small format.
1. 18x18" or 16"x20" $350
2. 24x24" or 20"x30" $600
3. 36"x36" or 30"x40" $1000
These are the canvas sizes I generally use, but I'd be happy to create a painting of any size you would like. Pricing for such sizes would be similar to the above.
Shipping and Sales Tax
Added to the price would be actual shipping costs if you cannot come to the Gallery and collect your painting, and these would be maximum $125 (for the largest size mentioned above) to any address in the continental U.S. Of course it is less for smaller sizes and closer places, more for places further away. There is also a 6% Kentucky sales tax. For transactions at a distance, I accept payment via check sent by mail. I can do Paypal also.
Terms
Terms are half due at the start, with half due plus tax and shipping upon completion, then I would send the piece to you.
Timing
Depending on the complexity of the image and the changes requested as feedback is given, it takes about one to two months.
Client Input
Input from you would be required to make sure you are happy, and I would email and/or phone, sending jpg images to show the progress of the piece, to make sure you are very pleased with the final piece before it is finished. I would first email you the initial sketches, and then of the painting itself at least two times before completion, more if we feel it's necessary.
